Description of Clomiphene Citrate (Clomid) and action on the body
Because of its ability to bind to estrogen receptors in the hypothalamus, Clomiphene Citrate significantly increases levels of gonadoliberin (GnRH), follicle stimulating hormone (FSH), and luteinizing hormone (LH), resulting in greater production of testosterone in men and estrogen in women.
But, according to studies, this effect of clomid does not exceed, and is sometimes less than, the same effect of the cheaper and more common tamoxifen. Clomid has no direct effect on the amount of estrogens. Its mechanism of action is to block their access to the pituitary gland and the subsequent increase in follicle-stimulating and luteinizing hormone. Available data suggest that the estrogenic and anti-estrogenic properties of clomiphene may be involved in the onset of ovulation.
Two isomers of clomiphene have been found to have mixed estrogenic and anti-estrogenic effects that may vary from one species to the other. Some evidence suggests that clomiphene has greater estrogenic activity than clomiphene.
After a steroid cycle with nandrolone and trenbolone, in connection with possible complications, clomid should be used in combination with cabergoline, which in Bulgarian pharmacies is sold under the brand name “Dostinex”. The approximate dose is 250 μg / once every 4 days. By the way, clomid should be taken as post steroid therapy after gonadotropin.Reception and treatment lasts from 7 to 14 days.
